Mercury Ionization Energy

The Mercury Ionization Energy is the energy required to remove from atom one mole of electrons with subsequent production of positively charged ion of Mercury.
Hg -> Hg+ + e-
This process can be repeated many times, but the energy cost is increased dramatically. The general equation for the Mercury is:
HgN+ -> Hg(N+1)+ + e-

Ionization Energy

Hg -> Hg1+ = 1007 kJ/mol = 240.91 Kcal/mol
Hg1+ -> Hg2+ = 1809 kJ/mol = 432.78 Kcal/mol
Hg2+ -> Hg3+ = 3300 kJ/mol = 789.47 Kcal/mol
Hg3+ -> Hg4+ = 4400 kJ/mol = 1052.63 Kcal/mol
Hg4+ -> Hg5+ = 5900 kJ/mol = 1411.48 Kcal/mol
Hg5+ -> Hg6+ = 7400 kJ/mol = 1770.33 Kcal/mol
Hg6+ -> Hg7+ = 9100 kJ/mol = 2177.03 Kcal/mol
Hg7+ -> Hg8+ = 11600 kJ/mol = 2775.12 Kcal/mol
Hg8+ -> Hg9+ = 13400 kJ/mol = 3205.74 Kcal/mol
Hg9+ -> Hg10+ = 15300 kJ/mol = 3660.29 Kcal/mol
